ZEEMAN OCEAN CHALLENGE

Posted in General on March 21st, 2007 by DhammaSeeker

The goal of the “ZEEMAN OCEAN CHALLENGE” is to cross the Pacific Ocean at its widest point - solo. The 16,000-kilometer crossing will not make use of any motorised or wind-related power. This extreme challenge will take between 7 and 9 months to complete and will be non-stop, without re-supplies or any other support.

This guy is insane. I heard about this project on the BBC NewsPod podcast last week a day or two before he set off in the ocean.

Today, he’s been at it 6 days and rowed 162 miles.

According to Keith Malley’s best guess, combined daily downloads for all podcasts under the podshow podcasting umbrella do not exceed 12,000 while daily downloads for the Keith and the Girl podcast well exceeds 12,000. That is all.

New theme/layout

After much looking and changing of the mind, I’ve settled on this theme (for awhile, at least). I hereby recognize that posts of this nature, a.k.a, ‘new theme/layout/etc.’ are completely pointless, and hereby apologize to anyone with the misfortune of reading it.

I do hope to get back into a semi-regular posting rhythm soon.
